Marxist Theory of Imperialism and it's Relevance Today

  • PSU University Pointe Building 1955 Southwest 5th Avenue Portland, OR, 97201 United States (map)

The U.S. and other powerful countries continually involve working people in brutal wars over resources and spheres of influence. As Marxists see it, war is not just "bad policy" but something that is endemic to capitalism regardless of who is in power. Join us on Thursday, May 18th for an important discussion on the Marxist theory of imperialism and how it helps us understand the world today as well as its implications for how we must organize to fight for a world without war.

Speaker: New York City activist and writer Eric Ruder

Location: PSU University Pointe building, Room 102

On 5th between Jackson and College
